Client: Uncommon Developers
Facing New Challenges.
The COVID-19 pandemic changed how we live, work, and build. Prior to the onset of the pandemic, Uncommon Developers deployed the WorkerSense® platform on their 24-acre mixed-use development in the interest of improved job site awareness and production accountability. Little did they know, they had made a remarkable preparation for the coming months.
As cases began to rise in the U.S., WorkerSense® acted quickly to deploy updated sensor firmware over-the-air (OTA), allowing for contact tracing and real-time social distancing data on top of the existing suite of functionality. With WorkerSense® in place, Uncommon Developers leveraged remote, real-time dashboards to continue their project with minimal on-site management personnel, while benefiting from automatically managed distancing and contact tracing.
“The WorkerSense program has become an invaluable part of our construction management program during the COVID-19 Pandemic. When we first rolled it several months ago none of us had any idea what was coming our way. We don’t even need to think about it, just look up at the monitors to see how all our people are doing in real time.”
Dan Wolverton, Senior Superintendent
Most of the Uncommon Developers project team may have transitioned to working from home, but production targets and timelines remained. Thanks to the remote project management capabilities provided by the WorkerSense® platform, the team was able to keep the project on schedule, and stay informed of job site activity.
The project team benefited most from real-time whereabout information, automated timecards, and crew activity summaries- ensuring that no member of the team felt disconnected from the job.
